Alan Currie

Alan is a trainee patent attorney in Cleveland Scott York’s mechanical and electrical practice. He works closely with Tom Faulkner, helping prepare and file patent applications, and working on prosecution before the UK Intellectual property Office and the European Patent Office.

Alan has a background in mechanical engineering, which means he is well suited to dealing with a range of mechanical, electrical and software technologies.

After graduation from Heriot-Watt University, Alan worked offshore as a Measurement While Drilling Engineer and latterly as a Mechanical Asset Engineer on a chemicals facility before deciding on a career as a Patent Attorney.
